Learn how to maximize your Lagree at Home Workouts with 5 Tips from the founders of Lagreeing at Home
The best feeling in the world is the day your Lagree machine arrives on your doorstep! The moment you have been waiting for has arrived and then you stare at it wondering, “Now what?” Let us help you with our top 5 tips for a successful home fitness journey with your Lagree Micro, Mini or Mega!
1. DEDICATED SPACE: Set it up a dedicated space in your home where you can feel comfortable. Check out the instructional videos here on how to set up your machines. Having a mirror in you space is a great tool to help you check your form throughout your workouts. You can find full length mirrors on amazon like this one ” data-wplink-url-error=”true”>here. Additionally, if you have hard floors, you will want a mat to put under the machine, especially if you are using the Micro, this will provide comfort for moves where we utilize the floor and also prevent the machine from sliding. We recommend this mat here. Give yourself space in front and behind the machine and on both sides of the. machine as well. This helps with smooth transitions, but we use the space around the machine in many workouts.
2. PREPPING FOR YOUR LAGREE AT HOME WORKOUT: Explore your machine before the first workout, practice putting the springs on and off so you are comfortable switching them during the workout. This will help with quicker transitions. Spring colors are as follows:
- White: Super Light (harder in the front, easier in the back)
- Black: Light (more support in the front, more challenging in the back)
- Grey: Medium (great for upper body)
- Red: Heavy (used for lower body moves, pushing against tension in the front and some upper body)
Also remember that the front of the machine is where the logo is for the Micro and Mini (on the Megas its where the carriage will always stay closed). Have water and a towel with you and you will be set to go.
3. STREAM YOUR WORKOUTS: If possible, we highly recommend having a TV in the room where you workout so that you can stream the classes to a larger screen. If it’s not possible try to use a laptop or iPad for best viewing. We recommend using ” data-wplink-url-error=”true”>AirPods or other similar ” data-wplink-url-error=”true”>wireless headphones to best hear the instructor. If you stream from the laptop, we provide Spotify playlists for each class for your convenience or you can play any music you like to go along with the workout.
4. SCHEDULE YOUR WORKOUTS: The hardest part of working out at home is accountability. While the beauty of working out at home, is not having to worry about driving to class or getting charged for no shows or late cancels, you do have to hold yourself more accountable to get the workouts done. We highly recommend scheduling your workouts in advance. Put them in your calendar with a link to the class you plan to take. If you are doing a live class it will automatically add it to the calendar for you with the link to the live class! Make sure you set an alarm or reminder to give you that extra nudge! Leave a comment under the class after you take it for even more accountability! Still need help with your accountability? Check out our different accountability programs here!
5. JOIN A LIVE CLASS: Here at Lagreeing at Home we have live classes everyday of the week at various times. We highly recommend trying to fit one in each week. The instructor offers real time feedback and can help with form and you can always chat with other community members and the instructor before and after class to enjoy the LAH community vibe that we love!
We hope these 5 tips have left you feeling ready to go and get started on your Lagreeing at Home journey. We are always available to offer you guidance and support as well. You can leave a comment below or email us at info@lagreeingathome.com.
